Statement of purpose

On this website we seek to explore the possibility of constructing an alternative model of physics based on ideas that are not so far off-piste as to be considered ridiculous.
No claim is made for originality of concepts – it is notoriously difficult to think of genuinely new ideas – but that does not prevent us from applying established ones in unusual ways.
Our model is constructed by adopting an unorthodox approach to space and time together with a different mathematical representation of the speed of light. It is therefore centred on special relativity and embraces convention sufficiently often to make it plausible; it is, however, radical enough to make testable predictions setting it apart from accepted physics.

It touches and changes cosmology.

The presentation is largely classical and requires only a modest amount of mathematical knowledge. This means we are involved merely in  developing a skeletal model of a possible physics rather than a supercharged, sophisticated, showroom quality version.

Nevertheless the challenges presented to conventional physics may be worth addressing.

Anyone seriously interested is invited to comment, criticise, question, even further develop, any of the ideas presented here or demolish them with a devastating logical coup de grace.

It is particularly important to expose any flaws in the logic of each or any part of the model as these may be fatal to its further development.

New pages will be added as we develop our ideas and existing pages will undergo alterations, corrections and additions as necessary.

So if, like me, you enjoy a challenge and feel that after more than a century of ‘new physics’ it may be worth considering something a little different then remember what the wise man said:

known unknowns…
but there are also unknown unknowns.”

Let’s see if we can winkle out some of the ‘unknown unknowns‘ in physics and set them to work.
In doing so this presentation adopts a light touch with a sprinkling of humour and a dash of whimsy.
After all doing physics should be Fun even though there is no F in physics…

…and it’s even more fun off-piste.
